Thistlemaw / Thistlemaws

Thistlemaws are a type of mobile botanical creature with a vicious and malicious reputation. They resemble large thistle flowers with large thorns covering their stalk-like body and legs made of roots. Their flowerhead has sunken black eyes with a sinister glint and a thorny maw that stretches into a grin.

Thistlemaws are aggressive and dangerous creatures that seem to delight in the suffering of humanoids.

Thistlemaws are malicious in nature and while it serves no discernable evolutionary function, they seem to enjoy causing humanoids pain and angst. They will often disguise themselves as ordinary plant life or weeds and then strike whenever someone ventures too close.

The creature excels at striking weak points against unaware creatures.

Effect: The creature gains a Destiny Die, a +2 bonus to Hit and 1 additional Damage Die when making Attacks vs Creatures that Have Not Detected or Cannot Detect it.

The creature is capable of making a quick getaway when threatened.

Effect: The creature gains an additional 3 Meters per Movement when they convert their Action into a Movement.

The Creature possesses a damaging Venomous Bite Attack.
