Silver Sliver / Silver Slivers
A type of silvery armored insectoid creature that can tunnel through solid stone.

Level 3 Creature
Small - Insectoid - Hexapod
Information
Silver Slivers are a large insectoid hexapod with a long, silver colored, segmented body. They have 3 sets of beady eyes, a stinger on their tail and sharp mandibles. Their forelegs are equipped with sharp digging appendages. They are the bane of many villages as they are not only dangerous, they are a damnable nuisance. With their ability to burrow, they easily gain access to cellars, larders and coops by digging their way in. Nothing seems to be inaccessible to these massive insects save for solid steel. On top of this behavior, they are difficult to slay as their silver colored shell is actually coated in nearly pure silver. This does however, make them very rewarding to defeat.
Behavior
Silver Slivers are aggressive and opportunistic scavengers that specialize in looting from humanoid civilizations. They will often dig their way into a larder or chicken coop and then attack anything that attempts to stop them from devouring everything within. They have voracious appetites and breed rapidly, making them a considerable threat to even well established towns and villages. They have even been reported killing and consuming livestock, pets and humanoids when food sources are scarce.
Tactics
Silver Slivers don’t fight fair. They will pursue prey by digging their way to them or evade attackers by tunneling underground. This, in addition to their hard silver shells and insectoid arsenal makes them a particularly challenging foe to face. Silver slivers will also often cooperate to take down prey and then resort to infighting afterwards to divide the spoils.
Weaknesses
The Silver Sliver’s shells are resistant to Puncture and Slash Damage but they are vulnerable to Blunt Damage.
