Description

A bipedal Fungaloid species known for their outgoing nature and ability to communicate with the mycelium layer. They can physically resemble almost any fungal fruiting body in existence. They typically have small beady eyes and mouths that seemed to have formed simply to make humanoids more comfortable. They have no noses to speak of, but can still detect scents by inhaling and sampling the air.

Society

Myceliumites tend to live in harmonious communal societies. Most view all other myceliumites as an extension of themselves and are motivated to attempt to distribute wealth, resources and happiness equally as possible.

Description

Dark spore Myceliumites typically have darker flesh with brightly colored patches that indicate their toxic properties.

Myceliumites are naturally trusting and outgoing, they work well with others and excel in large communal societal structures. Gain a miscellaneous +2 to Charm Skill Rolls but suffer a -2 to Insight Skill Rolls made to detect Deception.

Fungaloid

You are considered to be Vulnerable to Slash Damage. You can regrow any part or parts of your body as long as 30% of your overall mass remains intact. 2 Hours of Sleep or 4 Hours of Rest will restore 1 Appendage, 4 Hours of Sleep or 8 Hours of Rest will restore 1 Limb or Body Part. You gain +1 to all Death Saving Throws. 

Abilities

Toxic Spore Cloud

You are capable of spreading toxic spores from your flowering body with a small amount of effort.

Effect: Designate a 1 meter blast, centered on yourself. You spread a small cloud of toxic spores from the flowering parts of your body in the Blast Area.

The Cloud persists for 1+CON Modifier Rounds, but can be dispersed by strong winds.

Creatures that start their Turn inside the Toxic Cloud’s Area must Roll a CON Saving Throw. The DC is equal to 10 + your CON Modifier. 

Fail: Creatures that Fail the Saving Throw are Dealt 2d4 + CON Modifier Toxic Damage. 

Pass: Creatures that Pass the Saving Throw are dealt ½ Damage.

You have the ability to Communicate with the Mycelium layer and can glean information from it.

Using an Action and your Charm Skill to communicate with any mycelium within 2 Meters. 

The mycelium layer can reveal information such as recent activity or vibrations, temperature changes and the death of creatures or plant life. The higher the Skill Roll the more precise and helpful the information. The Range at which this information can be acquired is limited to 1 km.

Mycelium layers will often be present in wooded areas or old wooden or wood reinforced stone buildings. Flowering Fungus guarantees the presence of nearby mycelium.

Bread of my Body

White Cap myceliumites are not only 100% edible for most mortal species, their flesh is also extremely nutritious with a firm squidgy bite and a deliciously earthy taste. They have subdued pain receptors in their extremities and can sever a limb while only suffering minor discomfort.

1 kg of White Cap flesh is enough to provide flavorful nutrition for up to 4 medium sized creatures for 12 hours(more if combined with other ingredients). In most markets it is usually equal in price to pork or poultry when available.
