Information
Mirror beasts are a reptilian predator that specializes in hunting humanoid and sapient creatures. They have powerful jaws, razor sharp claws, horns, an armored hide and the ability to actively camouflage with their surroundings. They are often referred to as "Devil Dogs" by villagers and laymen, due to their hellish appearance and body shape resemblance to large hounds.
Behavior
Pack Hunters Mirror beasts form tight familial bonds and work well together. They typically hunt in packs of 6 or more and develop larger packs the more successful they become.
Tactics
Mirror beasts work together to take down prey of various sizes. They specialize in hunting humanoids and will often hunt in a town for several days before being discovered. Most people who come across a Mirror beast kill will assume it was a bear, wildcat or pack of wolves and assume it not continue. Little do they know, mirror beasts are emboldened by each successful hunt and have been known to eradicate entire villages in the span of a few weeks. They will use their chameleon abilities to blend in with their surroundings until the perfect moment to strike.
Weaknesses
Leadership Mirror Beasts are pack hunters that follow a Matriarch. If their Matriarch falls in battle, their is a 50% chance that each member of the pack will individually flee the battle.
Hunted Mirror beasts excel at being the hunters, but not at being hunted. When forced to defend their own den mirror beasts often suffer from a morale de-buff of -2 to all Rolls, rather than gaining a lair benefit.
Traits
Superior Sense of Smell
Effect: Gain +4 to all perception skill rolls made to detect scents.
Scaled Hide
The Creature Possesses a thick scaly hide that acts like Tough Armor, protecting it from harm.
Effect: +4 AC, + 14 Armor Points
Stealthy
The creature excels at avoiding detection.
Effect: +2 to all Stealth Skill Rolls.
Abilities
Active Camouflage
Effect: The creature can use their Motion to use their active camouflage and blend in with the surrounding environment. When they do so they add a Destiny Die to all Stealth Skill Rolls made in that environment. When they enter a new environment they are no longer considered to be camouflaged. Covering or soaking a camouflaged creature renders their ability useless until the condition ends.
Stealth Strike III
Effect: The creature is granted a Destiny Die, a +2 bonus to Hit on Attack Rolls and gains an additional 1d10 Damage of the same type when making attacks while Undetected.
Multi-Strike I
The creature can attack multiple times in rapid succession.
Effect: The creature is considered to possess a total of 2 Melee Attack Actions per turn.

The Creature Possesses Deadly Claws that it wields as a Natural Weapon.
