Currencies
Credits are the most common form of currency in the Galactic Age and various regions and governments will likely issue their own forms of credit, unique to their origins. The popularity of Credits is followed by Paper Money, and much less commonly, Coins.
Credits
Credits are issued to accounts that can be accessed anywhere within a governments or organizations operational area. They can take the form of: Credit Chits, which work a lot like today's gift cards, Credit Cards, which are lines of credit attached to an account and Credit IDs which are lines of credit connected to an individual.
Paper Money
Paper Money is printed and issued by governments of various forms. They can often have larger denominations than the standard and are typically issued on worlds where Intranet connectivity is not capable of supporting a Credit System. They can have many names, such as: Dollars, Bills, Marks, etc.
Coins
Coins are almost always made from precious metals such as: Copper mixed with Tin to create Bronze, Silver and Gold. This is due to how easy it is to shape coins from these softer metals and how long they can remain in circulation due to their resistance to wear and tear.
Copper
Each Copper Coin is worth 1/100th the value of a Silver Coin. These coins may have different names in different regions or settings such as: Pennies, Shillings, Pieces, Pence or Bits.
Silver
Each Silver Coin is worth 1/100th the value of a Gold Coin. These coins may have different names in different regions or settings such as: Marks, Slivers, Groats or Shards.
Gold
These coins may have different names in different regions or settings such as: Suns, Nobles, Eagles or Sovereigns.
