Information

Bruteish amphibians that resemble large lizard-like toads with long tails, sharp teeth and a large pot belly. They come in a variety of colorations depending on the waters they inhabit. They are known for regurgitating strong acid onto their prey. Their mouths, lips and internals are coated in a substance that protects them from their own digestive enzymes, but their bodies and skin offer no such protection.

Bilebellies like to lie in wait in shallow waters and attack prey that comes close to the shoreline or enters the water.  The larger ones typically engage their prey by spewing acid on them; Softening them for ingestion or melting them into a slurpable puddle. The smaller ones tend to ambush and bite their prey first before resorting to regurgitating acid on them to weaken more resilient prey. 

Social

Bilebellies are notoriously volatile and unintelligent. They are constantly infighting and will eat the weak or sick or their own kind without pause. They have exceptionally limited intelligence and have been often spotted attacking rocks and logs that resemble animals or humanoids. Some believe that the older ones have learned to use their acid first as a means of determining whether or not something is edible or alive.
