Arcane Auras

All magic practitioners possess an arcane aura: a magical distortion field visible to spellcasters and those that can view Interdimensional Energy Fields. These auras can take on various colors and types depending on the personality and casting history of the caster. For instance; A yellow colored aura can be an indicator of materialism or pride, while a brighter type of arcane aura often indicates a higher level of power or skill. Many scholars have attempted to map out some form of behavioral graph based on the colors of caster's arcane auras with varying degrees of success. While their observations can be used as a general guideline, there are too many casters that simply defy the data.

The visual aspect of many spell effects is directly affected by a spellcaster's Arcane Aura. This causes the majority of a practitioners spells and magical abilities to take on a similar color and appearance, making spellcasting more distinct and individualized across the board. If you have chosen to roleplay a spellcaster of any kind feel free to pick out an Arcane Aura color and style. You can even have it shift and change as your character develops.
